The wind, the sea and all things nautical are the inspiration behind my designs. Mainly self-taught, I have learnt from experts such as the old seaman who, while teaching me wire-splicing, said, 'Don't fight the wire; work with it.' I have tried to carry this through in my craft, also learning from my own experiments. I have always been inspired by high levels of craftsmanship and has been drawn to beautifully made pieces that are, not just good to look at, but have a useful purpose which should be used in an everyday setting.
As all my pieces are individually handmade, no two designs will ever be alike within a collection and nothing is mass produced. Commissions are unique & personal to each client which has come into its own during Covid 19 as clients are looking for a more local and direct relationship. Ability to adapt at short notice and develop alternative markets, currently upgrading the website and marketing opportunities.

Individually handmade end grain chopping boards 2016 - Handmade stainless steel outdoor fire - the Fire'ness 2017 - all other sculpture, designs and commissions followed over the year. Most work now is bespoke with stock collection on line.
