The Irish Wood and Interiors Network was established to help companies involved in the design and manufacture of kitchens, architectural joinery, contract furniture, bespoke interior solutions, commercial interiors and wood-based products and services of all kinds. 

Our aim is to assist companies in these industries to thrive through collaboration.

Vernon

Bill Vernon HND Hons. FTC C&G, AIMWoodT CMIWSc. Bill has spent a lifetime in furniture and woodworking. Working all over the globe as a consultant he spent 30 years working with:  ITC Geneva and China, CDI Brussels, GTZ Germany, UNIDO, USAID. Booz Allen US. EBRD London.

He has an in depth knowledge of the Woodworking Industry and a Worldwide Network.

Katherine O’Sullivan

Katherine O’Sullivan is a Senior Manager working to drive change without the fuss.  Experienced and adaptable leader of teams, with a passion for creating environments where people can learn, improve, develop, and share.  Katherine has led various process improvement initiatives and system implementations that consistently delivered increased efficiencies, while building collaborative cross functional relationships internally, with suppliers and customers, and through industry networks.  All work, ambition & enthusiasm is driven by Katherine’s core values of honesty, integrity, community & equity.

Joe

Friel

Joe Friel is a senior commercial manager with 25 years national and international business experience. He is currently Head of UK Business at Castlebrook and has led the company's entry into, and growth of new export markets across Europe, with a particular emphasis on the UK and France. Previous roles held include business development, research, education, technical consultancy and materials management. 

He is skilled in strategy formulation and implementation, team building, commercial and Innovation management, contract negotiation, technical/consultative sales and procurement, project management and furniture materials. Joe holds an MBA from the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at NUIG and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Furniture Technology) from GMIT Letterfrack.

Clarke

Michael Clarke is a Principal and the Managing Director at Walls to Workstations (W2W), a leading provider of specialist interior solutions to the construction industry.  W2W operates three Divisions - Glazing, Furniture and Contract Flooring and Michael continues, in the interest of all stakeholders, to focus on the businesses “trusted interior solutions” brand position developed over more than 25 years.

He established GreyFox Design Limited in 2017, a joint venture business whose Mission is “to make great products that help its customers - Work | Learn | Connect.”  GreyFox is a research led enterprise aiming to design and produce timeless collections of humanised solutions for the 21st century workspace.

Michael is an active member of the IWFM Network’s Steering Group since 2018.
