Thank you for opening the IWFMN Newsletter. We hope you find it informative and useful.
As with all industry we in the Woodworking Industry are glad to be getting back to work following this unprecedented period of inactivity caused by Covid 19. Please, for the sake of your own business, its workers and community and for the country at large follow the very clear guidelines set out in the Return to Work Safely Protocol and COVID-19 Specific National Protocol for Employers and Workers, the links can be found in the Covid section of this newsletter.
The coming months will be challenging and while many of you are returning to a backlog of work built up during the lockdown, and the likely recession imminent as a result, it is important that you avail of assistance being provided by government. This is designed to help. Use it.
On a brighter note we are happy to announce that we have been awarded funding under the Border Enterprise Development Fund which will see IWFMN rolling out a substantial development programme in the border region over the next 3 years with spin off for all of members across Ireland.
Our next Newsletter which will be published in mid-August will feature a ‘Good News’ section. We would welcome entries that point to the many successes our industry is achieving both at home and overseas. Do remember the IWFMN network is your network, engage with it benefit from the strength we have in our numbers.
